James Harrison strikes the ball to score and put Heather St Johns in the lead against Belper United in the United Counties Premier League North. The game finished 2-2 then heather St Johns failed to collect sufficient points to avoid relegation from the league at the end of the season

I sample my first experience of shooting at Sixfields Stadium Northampton, Home of Northampton Town FC covering a Woman's National League Division 1 match between Northampton Town and Sporting Khalsa. Northampton win 1-0 in front of 1025 spectators. In this frame Alex Dicks #19 of Northampton heads the ball which hits the post.

I visited Dublin Ireland for my sons birthday ang get the opportunity to take a few shots of cyclist finishing the Orwell 200. This event is organised by Orwell Wheellers Cycling Club who my son was a member of at the time.

I cover the Derby Church League Cup Final played at Pinxton Miners Welfare between New Life F.C. and Trinity F.C. New Life F.C. whose team include many players that were in the AFC Alvaston Team I covered in the Derby Taverners League win and are seen here celbrating at the end of the match

A "pinch myself" moment when I am invited by Northampton Town FC to be a second shooter to club photographer Peter Norton at the match between Northampton and Bradford City. This is anticipation of celebration should Northampton Win as they will gain promotion to football league 1. However Northampton loose the match 2-1 and the promotion celebrations are deferred on week until they win at Tranmere Rovers in the final game of the season. In this frame I capture the goal scored by Max Dyche (Son of Sean Dyche) with a diving header. This is Max's first professional first team goal. The instructions issued by NTFC to me was to shoot a reverse angle to Pete Norton, which in this case paid off as Pete was blocked by the Bradford player (on his knees).

Another "Pinch Myself" moment as I am invited to cover the Northampton Town end of season awards as Pete Norton was unavailable. This event was held at Northampton Cricket Club County Ground. In this photo Sam Hoskins is awarded Supporters player of the year held thorough the Northampton Newspaper Chronicle and Echo.

I cover the Derby Taverners League Championship Cup Final between AFC Chellaston and Oakwood FC played at the Anderson Electrical Arena home of Borrowash Victoria. AFC Chellaston win 2-0 and are seen here at the end of the game celebrating with the cup.

First Northampton Town Ladies 1st Team Away game against Loughborough Lightning Ladies. The team lost 3-0 however new Northampton Town goal keeper Katie McLean makes a superb penalty save.

I return to Sixfields to cover a FA Woman's League Div 1 Midlands match between Northampton Town and Sutton Coldfield. Photo captures Northampton Town's Jade Bell shooting and scoring her first goal of a hat trick scored in this match as Northampton win 4-2 in front of a crowd of 741.

Following the Forest Runner event I travel the short distance to New Bradwell to cover a Berks and Bucks Ladies Cup Match between New Bradwell St Peters and Newport Pagnell. New Bradwell win 3-1 to progress to the next round of the competition.

Another Pinch myself moment as I cover the Football League Div 1 match between Derby County v Northampton Town played at Pride Park. I was Northampton Towns 2nd Shooter at this game though the team racked with injuries and suspensions played poorly and lost 4-0. It was great to go to Derby (My local premier team and ground) and attend as a photographer enjoying all the hospitality and pitch access press photographers enjoy.
