Clive Stapleton Photography is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding when photographing children and young people at sporting events.
Photography is only undertaken with the permission of the hosting club, league, licencing agency or event organiser, and always in accordance with their safeguarding and media policies. At all times, photographs are captured from public or authorised pitch-side areas only.
Clive Stapleton Photography does not seek or require unsupervised access to children and young people, does not enter changing rooms or private areas, and does not undertake any supervisory, coaching, transport, or welfare responsibilities.
In line with UK safeguarding guidance, a DBS check is not legally required for visiting or event-based sports photography where there is no regulated activity or unsupervised contact. However, should a club, league, or governing body require DBS clearance as part of their own safeguarding procedures, this can be arranged where appropriate.
