At the end of the 2022/23 English Football Season I was invited by Northampton Town Football Club to be a second shooter to the great Pete Norton Club Photographer at the last home game of the season against Bradford City.  I was briefed to shoot reverse angle to Pete and try to capture the Northampton crowd especially in the event of Northampton winning the match because at that point they will win promotion to League One.

Northampton lost the match 2-1 so the anticipated party celebrations were put on hold.  However there was one Northampton Highlight and that was the goal scored by Max Dyche, his first professional goal.  Max is the son of the now Everton Manager Sean Dyche.

I managed to capture the goal with a clear view of Max's diving header and got a good frame, though the camera was set to more to capture the crowd.  All other photographers including Pete Norton were blocked by a Bradford defender on his knees!   Rather pleased with this image I got a large 12"x 8" print to do a quality check on the image  then put it in a Frame and sent it to Max.

Please find below a letter of appreciation received from Max Dyche.
